Jack London District Association's website is the number one destination for anyone living, working, shopping and visiting the district, as well for those wishing to learn about its historic and community resources and participate in its improvement. We have a business directory, maps, photos, historic and new development information, plus lots of news about life in the area.

If you have a local businesses that is looking to attract customers in the area and support a local non-profit community organization then look no further than placing an advertisement on our website which is seen by thousands every year. In April 2010 we had over 2,000 page views and we expect over 30,000 for the year. The good news is when you become a JLDA business supporter we include advertising on the site for a year.

Note: Ad space is shared with other advertisers but there is no extra charge unless you want to run more than one ad, have a larger than standard size ad, or want priority placement on the page.

Advertising on our site is a simple two step process - just sign up as a JLDA business supporter by making a tax deductible donation to support us, suggested donations start at just $50 per year for a small business. Then review the information on ad sizes and content below and send us an email at info@jlda.org with your ad artwork and we'll take care of the rest.  Your ad on the website is good for as long as you are a current JLDA supporter.

Ad acceptance policy, placement and sizes

We are of course looking to provide tasteful ads that are informative and useful to local residents, visitors and businesses so all ad content is subject to approval - but we will work with you to ensure all business supporters can have a suitable advert placed on our site, so let us know if have any questions at info@jlda.org

The standard free (for business supporters) advertisements are placed at the bottom of each web page in a bounding box of no bigger than 350 by 200 pixels which is standard business card proportions (3.5" by 2.0").  Priority placement and larger ad sizes are available to business that support us at the "Patron" or "Sponsor" levels.

You may submit your artwork in any of PDF, JPEG, PNG or TIF formats at 350 by 200 pixels or sufficiently higher resolution that we may scale it to fit in the 350 by 200 region without loss of quality.  If you scan your business card for the ad please do so using at least 300 dpi resolution.
